Description

The Sketcher Trimming tool trims an edge at the nearest intersections with other edges. If the selected edge does not intersect other edges it will be deleted.

Usage

  1. There are several ways to invoke the tool:
    • Press the Trim edge button.
    • Select the Sketcher → Sketcher geometries → Trim edge option from the menu.
    • Right-click in the 3D view and select the Trim edge option from the context menu.
    • Use the keyboard shortcut: G then T.
  2. The cursor changes to a white cross with the current tool icon (and the selection is emptied).
  3. Click on the segment to be trimmed off of an edge.
  4. The edge is trimmed at the nearest intersections with other edges. If there are edges on both sides of the clicked position, the clicked piece is cut out.
  5. Pressing Esc or pressing the right mouse button will terminate the function.
