Creates a vertical constraint to the selected lines or polyline elements. Starting with v0.17, it can also contrain vertices vertically. More than one object can be selected.

Description

The Sketcher ConstrainVertical tool constrains lines or pairs of points to be vertical (parallel to the vertical axis of the sketch).

introduced in version 0.22: In most cases it is advisable to use the combined Sketcher ConstrainHorVer tool instead.

Usage

Continue mode

  1. Make sure there is no selection.
  2. There are several ways to invoke the tool:
    • introduced in version 0.22: If the Auto tool for Horizontal/Vertical preference is selected (default): press the down arrow to the right of the button and select the Constrain vertically option from the dropdown.
    • If this preference is not selected (and in version 0.21 and below): press the Constrain vertically button.
    • Select the Sketch → Sketcher constraints → Constrain vertically option from the menu.
    • Use the keyboard shortcut: V.
