Usage

Pos-OVP = Positional On-View-Parameters.
Dim-OVP = Dimensional On-View-Parameters.

  1. Select the geometry to be rotated.
  2. There are several ways to invoke the command:
    • Press the Polar transform button.
    • Select the Sketcher → Sketcher tools → Polar transform option from the menu.
    • The keyboard shortcut: Z then P.
  3. A Rotate parameters section is added at the top of the Sketcher Task panel.
  4. Optionally define the number of copies:
    • Enter the number of copies in the Copies spinbox.
    • Optionally press the U key to increase the number of copies.
    • Optionally press the J key to decrease the number of copies.
  5. Optionally check the Clone constraints checkbox to copy datum constraints instead of replacing them with equality constraints.
  6. Pick the rotation center. Or with Pos-OVP: enter its X and/or Y coordinate.
  7. Pick start and end point of the rotation. Or with Dim-OVP: enter the rotation angle.
  8. The geometry is rotatet or several copies created respectively. This finishes the command.
