Descripción
Esta herramienta dibuja un arco de elipse eligiendo cuatro puntos: el centro, el extremo del radio mayor, el punto inicial y el punto final. Al iniciar la herramienta, el puntero del ratón cambia a una cruz blanca con un icono de arco de elipse rojo. Además se muestran las coordenadas en tiempo real.

La secuencia de clics se indica con flechas amarillas con números. C es el centro, a - diámetro mayor, b - diámetro menor, F1, F2 son focos.
Utilización
- Press the
Arc of ellipse button.
- First click in 3D view sets ellipse center. Second click sets the first radius and orientation of the ellipse. Third click sets the other radius and the start of the arc. The fourth click sets the end of the arc.
- After the fourth click, the arc of ellipse is created, together with a set of construction geometry aligned to it (major diameter, minor diameter, two foci). The construction geometry can be manually deleted if not needed, and recreated later. See Internal Alignment Constraint and Sketcher Show Hide Internal Geometry.
- Pressing ESC or clicking the right mouse button cancels the function.
Peculiaridades
- Los ejes mayor y menor de la elipse subyacente son estrictos y no pueden ser intercambiados por el cambio de tamaño. La elipse subyacente debe girarse para intercambiar los ejes.
- A diferencia de la elipse, que puede ser restringida para convertirse en un círculo, el arco de la elipse no puede representar un arco de círculo.
