Custom anchors

Hi Simbioz,

I see that you are adding, what you call, custom anchors to pages (f.e. Part_Part2DObject and Tasks_Placement). This is very hard to understand for other editors. Can you explain why you are introducing this? Thanks.

Edit: Note that I understand the technicalities involved. The question is more: why not link to an existing paragraph heading instead?

Hi Roy 043

Well, it's so as the user gets to see the exact meaning of a term without lurking in a paragraph instead (which in some cases may be quite long). It's a more straightforward approach. I believe that's pretty much the use case for these "custom anchors" (apart from allowing sections to be retitled without breaking incoming links). As for the confusion, each "custom anchor" adds 18 characters on average, are introduced at the beginning of a sentence (or anywhere really but I place them there for clarity), do not change the content of the information and are hidden from users. Maybe I should add a comment explaining what a "custom anchor" is next to them? or a link to the mediawiki documentation? I'm sorry this troubles your understanding of such sentences.
