Introduzione
In questo tutorial ci occuperemo di come esportare file STL / OBJ da FreeCAD. Dato che il formato mesh STL / OBJ è adimensionale, nelle esportazioni FreeCAD assume che l'unità utilizzata nel modello è il mm. Se non è così bisogna scalare il modello.
La parte modello
È possibile utilizzare un file di FreeCAD, ma si può anche creare velocemente un file di test con queste azioni:
- Avviare FreeCAD
- Creare un nuovo documento
- Passare nell'ambiente Part
- Inserire un cubo cliccando su
- Inserire un cono cliccando su
- Selezionare entrambi gli oggetti nella vista ad albero
- Applicare una fusione cliccando su
- Salvare il file
Esportazione metodo 1: Usando "File > Esporta"
- Passare nell'ambiente Mesh o Completo
- Scegliere Modifica → Preferenze → Import-Export → Formato Mesh dal menu principale
- Qui è possibile specificare la deviazione massima della mesh (di default è 0,1 mm) che controlla la "finezza" della mesh da produrre
- Chiudere il dialogo con OK
- Selezionare il solido da esportare nella vista ad albero
- Scegliere File → Esporta... e impostare, per esempio, il tipo di file "STL mesh (*.stl *.ast)"
- Digitare il nome del file senza dimenticare l'estensione, poi scegliere Salva
Export Method 2: Using the mesh workbench in FreeCAD
- Switch to mesh workbench
- Select the solid to be meshed in the tree view
- Choose Meshes → Create Mesh from shape... from the top menu
- Select one of the three available meshers and specify the available options, for more info refer to this page (Mesh from Shape)
- Choose OK and the mesh object will be created in the tree view (with green mesh icon)
- Select the mesh object in the tree view and right click on mesh object in the tree view
- Choose Export mesh to export mesh
- You will be promted to coose file name (default is the name of the mesh object) and the file type (default is "Binary STL (*.stl)")
- Choose Save and you are finished
